Core Services & Responsibilities
Festival & Event Management
Organizing and coordinating major cultural festivals including Carnival, Divali Nagar, Tobago Heritage Festival, and other national celebrations that showcase our cultural diversity.
Heritage Preservation
Protecting and maintaining historical sites, monuments, and cultural artifacts. Managing UNESCO World Heritage sites and promoting cultural tourism through heritage conservation.
Arts & Creative Industries Support
Providing grants, funding, and development programs for artists, cultural entrepreneurs, and creative businesses to foster innovation and economic growth in the cultural sector.
Permits & Licensing
Processing applications for cultural event permits, carnival band registrations, and entertainment licenses to ensure safe and compliant cultural activities.
Cultural Education
Developing educational programs, resources, and toolkits for schools and communities to promote cultural awareness and appreciation among citizens of all ages.
International Cultural Relations
Promoting Trinidad and Tobago's culture internationally through cultural exchanges, diplomatic initiatives, and participation in global cultural events and festivals.
